Music I listen to

I try to keep up on all of the new music, but I am an Oldies Fan. Whatever music I am into now, depends on this 'ol' Crabs' mood............I love everything from classical, to rock, to disco, to country-as I said, I am moody and there is always a song that fits the mood of the day-(yeah!)

Interesting facts about me

I have three dogs, big and cuddly. I also have a wicked sense of humor and that has been what has gotten me through this WNV. I deliver mail for the USPS, although I am beginning to believe that I may have to retire because I can not do my job anymore. Next Life Chapter:coming soon!!!!!
Next Life Chapter: Now-well, I have retired from the USPS due to disability from West Nile Virus. About the time I feel like I am getting better, I have a relapse and it takes weeks to overcome it...life does on, however, if you keep smilin'!!!

Next Life Chapter Coming Soon

I want to hear from you!!

    Hello,
I have not heard from you in months. How are you? My symptoms have improved slightly. I still have alot of fatigue with dizzy, vertigo and catching other sicknesses. I took a trip to vegas in early July. Not a place for a WNV person. I came back and was sick for 3 weeks with things I caught on the trip. I wanted to let you know that PT has really helped. I have been working with a biofeedback counsler with relaxation techniques. That has really helped.
    I wish you well!
Write when you get a chance.

    Hi, Carol,
Thanks for your response and encouragement.
    To answer your questions -
Fortunately my husband and I are both on SSI, and he has a pension, so with Medicare we don't worry too much about the drs bills.
I've tried many things, none of which seem to do any good - in fact they seem to make me worse.
I'm trying some hormones, as my symptoms in part seem to be hormone related (sweats, mood).
The md just decreased the dosage because I've become even more nauseous since taking them.
I have problems with arm burning and anxiety. I've tried some antidepressants and Xanax, but they seem to make me worse, so I went off them.
I also tried Lyrica, but after a week I got worse, so I thought Lyrica was the problem.
Sleeping is a problem, and sometimes I take AdvilPM or TylenolPM. Sometimes they work and sometimes they are bad.
I get really discouraged, and anxiety is a problem. I wish I could control it. I'll try to smile.

Thanks again for your encouragement. Are you taking anything for the symptoms now?

    hello elaine

The only thing I am taking right now is for the joint pain and aches-vicodin/tramadol or just motrin depending on the levels. I am going to start a program as soon as I get my disability retirement from the Postal Service and SSI-how about you? Do you take anything else? Keep smiling-that is the best medicine.....
